A message from Mark Nixon, Latimer Music Festival’s Artistic Director:
Its wonderful to be preparing for another Latimer Music Festival this year. In our second year we welcome several new artists, including Julia Khun (violin), Sara Roberts (viola), Rebecca Hepplewhite (cello), Christopher Duigan (piano) and Florian Mitrea (piano), and we are delighted that Fenella Humphries (violin) and Shelley Levy (clarinet) have agreed to join us once again this year.
The programme, as before, is an eclectic and exciting mix of composers and styles. Each concert includes different combinations of instruments to give the audience a rich listening experience. We are thrilled that Kawai Pianos UK is supporting us once again with their exceptional Shigeru EX Concert Grand Piano and in celebration of this we are presenting a piano only concert on the Sunday, featuring the three festival pianists, playing solos, duets and trios.
We are aiming for each of these three concerts to be a moving and unique experience. We have the great privilege of using Mary Magdalene Church once more with its perfect acoustics and intimate atmosphere, perfect for chamber music.
We look forward to welcoming old friends and to meeting new ones too.
