Rebecca Hepplewhite (née Hewes) performs extensively throughout the UK and abroad as a soloist and chamber musician. Featured in the Sunday Times Top 10 for her performance of the Elgar Cello Concerto, she has performed all of the major concerto works across Europe, including tours of France, Spain and Ireland. As a chamber musician she has performed at venues including the Wigmore Hall, Bridgewater Hall, Purcell Room and Hong Kong Cultural Centre.

In 2009 she formed Svyati Duo with Julian Collings, and they have gained international acclaim as the UK’s leading cello and organ duo. They regularly tour Asia and the USA in addition to performing extensively throughout the UK. They have released two critically-acclaimed recordings on the Regent Records label, with their third CD due for release in 2018.

As cellist with the Nephele Ensemble Rebecca has been the recipient of numerous awards and has performed in many prestigious concert series’ and festivals. They have appeared on several CD releases and have commissioned many new works from leading British composers.

​Rebecca also enjoys a busy and varied concert diary with the Pomegranate Piano Trio, performing a rich array of imaginative programmes throughout the UK.
